DIRECTIONS

Seven Springs
All motels listed are within close proximity to Rt. 601. If not sure, ask your motel desk for directions to Rt. 601. This route will take you up a hill into the center of Somerset, where you will find Rt. 31 West (a one way street to the right). Take this out of town and into the countryside. Eventually you will come down a long grade into a dip, where a Seven Springs sign will direct you left onto another rural route. Follow this for several miles to a stop sign at a "T". Take a right here, and it takes you to the Seven Springs main gate. The total trip from Somerset is 25-30 minutes.

Denton Hill
This is a new venue for the conference. Your team will need to decide whether you will be staying in Coudersport, PA, or Wellsboro, PA, or somewhere in between. The ski area and both of these towns are on the Rt.6 east-west corridor in northern PA. We have visited the various hotels and motels that are available, and have made lodging recommendations in the Lodging List for 2008. Coudersport is west of the ski area, and about a 10 minute drive to the ski area, heading east on Rt. 6. Wellsboro is about a 30 minute ride to the ski area, heading west on Rt. 6. Both Coudersport and Wellsboro are nice towns, with a wide selection of restaurants and food markets. Wellsboro is the larger of the two. Denton Hill is not easily reached directly from Interstates. We suggest that you look at a map of Pennsylvania, find Coudersport, Wellsboro and Denton Hill Ski Area so you have the reference points. Our directions here are to the town of Wellsboro.

General Directions:
In general, you will want to reach Williamsport, PA by the most direct route available. From West Virginia, MD and eastern PA you will need to get to Harrisburg, PA by your route of choice. From Harrisburg take Rt. 15 north to Williamsport. The central PA schools will want to take either Rt. 15 or Rt. 220 to Williamsport. From Williamsport you’ll continue to take Rt. 15 north to Mansfield, PA, then take Rt. 6 west to Wellsboro. If you decide to stay in Coudersport, you will then drive west on Rt. 6 from Wellsboro, past the ski area, to Coudersport.
It may be that some of you know of an acceptable route up across western PA that is more direct to Coudersport. If so, please use that route, and share it with others.

Elk Mt.

Take I-81 north of Scranton to Exit 206. Follow signs to ski area - about 20 minutes.

Wisp

Take I-68 (in MD) to Exit 14. Then, Rt. 219 south about 15 minutes to the ski area.

Tussey Mt.

Ski area is just off Rt. 322, 4 miles east of State College, PA.
