desirable we could find in the vicinity of each racing location. However, we
cannot guarantee the level of quality, age of the facility, service level,
price, etc. These factors will vary among the choices. Some are more expensive
than others. Some are near the ski area, while others are up to a half an hour
drive. Most all of these properties have a website. Please use that resource
also if you need more information. Also, be aware that there may be additional
options in the area of t he ski area that are not listed here, so it may benefit
you to conduct your own search if none of these suits your needs.
Be sure to get specific directions to the property,
and driving time to the ski area. When calling, mention that you are a college
team attending an Allegheny Collegiate Ski Conference race at (name) ski area.
It might help with pricing, but no guarantee. We have not provided any
information on condos at each ski area, but have included the phone number for
the area. If you want to look into the availability of condos, please call the
ski area number provided.
It will be up to each team to arrange its own
lodging --> Make inquiries regarding prices, determine specific location and
distance from the ski area, and make the final decision regarding where your
team will stay. We believe that most any of these motels will meet your needs,
but we advise all teams to call as soon as possible to finalize reservations.
It would probably be best to not wait until you return from the
Christmas holiday period.

Driving Directions - 2011
Directions to Swain Ski Area from Hornell, NY
Take Rt 36 north from Hornell. Take a left onto Rt. 70 at the Rt. 36 and 70 intersection. Follow Rt. 70 to the ski area. MORE info TBA.
Elk Mt.
Take I-81 north of Scranton to Exit 206. Follow
signs to ski area - 15-20 minutes from the exit.
Timberline
Take I-68 (in MD) to Exit 14. Then, Rt. 219 south
to Thomas, WV. At Thomas, leave Rt. 219 (do not cross the bridge) and take Rt.
32 straight though Thomas and through the next town of Davis, WV. Rt. 32 will
then take you into Canaan Valley. Once in the valley, watch for the access road
sign for the ski area.
Wisp
Take I-68 (in MD) to Exit 14. Then, Rt. 219 south
about 15 minutes to the ski area
Tussey Mountain
Take Rt. 322 Business or Rt. 322 Bypass east toward Harrisburg, PA. About 4-5 miles east of State College Tussey Mountain Ski Area will be on the right. You can see it from Rt. 322. Turn onto the access road.
